  • The Coalition to Support Grieving Students has video and downloadable grief-support modules for school professionals on conversation and support, developmental and cultural considerations, practical considerations, reactions and triggers, professional preparation and self-care, and crisis and special circumstances.
  • Eluna is a resource center with information about bereavement centers, camps and programs, and related resources.
  • National Center on Safe Supportive Environments is funded by the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Safe and Supportive Schools. The Center offers information and technical assistance to states, districts, schools, institutions of higher learning, and communities focused on improving school climate and conditions for learning. We believe that with the right resources and support, educational stakeholders can collaborate to sustain safe, engaging and healthy school environments that support student academic success.
  • Trauma and Learning Policy Initiative (TLPI) - TLPI’s mission is to ensure that children traumatized by exposure to family violence and other adverse childhood experiences succeed in school. To accomplish this mission, TLPI engages in a host of advocacy strategies including: providing support to schools to become trauma sensitive environments; research and report writing; legislative and administrative advocacy for laws, regulations and policies that support schools to develop trauma-sensitive environments; coalition building; outreach and education; and limited individual case representation in special education where a child’s traumatic experiences are interfacing with his or her disabilities.

  • Haitian Mental Health Network is a Boston-based organization comprised of a group of mental health providers, including psychologists, social workers, psychiatrists, mental health counselors, psychiatric nurses, and pastoral counselors. Members of the HMH Network work collaboratively with community-based agencies as well as local, national and international institutions to improve access for Haitians to mental health services that are comprehensive, integrated, culturally sensitive, and developmentally appropriate.

We provide a range of wrap-around services to help more than 18,000 clients of all ages, from preschoolers to adults, successfully transition to a productive new life.
  • Switchboard is a one-stop resource hub for refugee service providers in the United States. With the support of the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR), they offer tools and materials, learning opportunities, research, and technical assistance on resettlement-related topics. From employment, education, and health, to monitoring and evaluation, Switchboard’s focus areas reflect real-world needs.

  • Center for Holocaust and Human Rights Education (CHHRE) - CHHRE at Florida Atlantic University presents cutting-edge training and resources to teachers involved in Holocaust and genocide education. The Center offers workshops, advanced seminars, and summer institutes for K-12 teachers working in the fields of history, arts, languages, religion, science, technology, politics, and social studies.   • Florida Department of Education's ESOL E-Learning - SALA Online Learning Series is a new professional development program that provides just-in-time training and support to teachers of English Language Learners (ELLs) when implementing evidence based academic programs to assist ELL academic achievement and English language acquisition.
